Hello all, (again!)
In my Ancestry report (uploaded to the patch a couple of weeks ago) each footnote to a fact creates a blank line between the spouses. This happens in the descendency report as well. The more footnoted facts a person has, the further away that person becomes from the spouse. The same thing happens to the gap between the mother and the children. The footnotes also seem to insert random carriage returns within the facts which destroy the layout. Can someone tell me why?
Regards
John H

The improper handling of footnotes is a "feature" of older versions of PGV. As far as I know, footnotes and several other features of the various reports only work more-or-less correctly in the SVN version. The fixes are too extensive to be ported back into earlier versions.
You'll notice that there are a number of bugs listed against the Reports system. I've got most of these fixed, but I'm sort of swamped with family responsibilities at the moment, and haven't been able to devote as much time to PGV as I used to. This situation should improve in the new year.

OK. Understood. Many thanks.
