Thank you for your answers.
It is difficult to have an accurate measure of how long time it takes to load a page.
Just a little exampel: A week ago I uploaded a new ged-file (1,1Mb) and it took aprox. 25 minutes!
Yesterday I uploaded the same file with some minor changes and it took aprox. 5 minutes.
It is the same thing with pages from pgv. Sometimes it is slow and sometimes it is OK.
Try to search for "hansen" 5 times. I used 122, 52, 47, 225 and 40 seconds.
I have also looked into the phpadmin and found some warnings/errors:
pgv_families:
PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `f_id`
pgv_individuals:
PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `i_id`
pgv_media:
More than one INDEX key was created for column `m_media`
pgv_other:
PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `o_id`
pgv_placelinks:
PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `pl_p_id`
pgv_site_setting:
PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `site_setting_name`
pgv_sources:
PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `s_id`
Is this normal or should it somehow be corretced?

Most of these discrepancies sound like server and bandwidth issues. While searching, are others accessing your site? Is the server yours? Is it dedicated to you? How much RAM assigned to PGV (for instance, I have 1gb assigned to PGV on a Octo-Core 3.2ghz dual processor MacPro). If running other software or other users are on my site (we have 400+), certain lists or searches can be slower, but not significantly impaired. It would have little to do with PGV.
On the other hand, forked programs have made significant speed improvements in all operations as they focus on being entirely DB driven.

My webpage is hosted on one.com. I have tried to allocate more RAM in the configuration for pgv (advanced settings) but max value looks to be 64MB. How can I allocate more RAM?
It is difficult to say if others are accessing while I am searching, but I don't think so. I'm not running other software than pgv and there are only 8 registered users.
I have cheked with one.com and they assure me that everything runs OK.
I don't know much about the MySQL-database and want to know if I need to correct the warnings/errors for the pgv-tabels I described in my last reply - and if so how.

I have a site "www.familiesporet.dk" using phpgedview v4.2.3 and lately it have been running very slowly.
The site are using two ged-files:
http://www.familiesporet.dk/pgv/index.php?ctype=gedcom&ged=Correll_Dohlmann.ged
with aprox 2000 people and large notes (gedfile is 3,5Mb) and
http://www.familiesporet.dk/pgv/index.php?ctype=gedcom&ged=friismose.ged
with aprox 1300 people and small notes (gedfile is 1,1Mb)
The site also uses htlm-pages and they load OK.
I have tried to disable multimedia but that did not help.
I will be very happy if someone can give me some advice.

I don't see anything unusual about your performance. Media Lists, INDI lists and more load relatively quickly, IMHO
-Stephen
I don't see anything wrong with the performance either.
Are there specific pages you're having trouble with?
