According to the help file if you have the proper access you can add an unlinked person here.
Any ideas how?

Hi Ron,
If I am correct, I removed the option to add an unlinked individual from version 2.65.4 or .3 due to the problems it was giving.
Besides that it has been decided that the main goal of PGV is to be a viewer and not an editor. We do offer limited editing capabilities but should not be used as an editor. For that you can use the GDBI interface. Which can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/gdbi/
It is only possible now to add either a child and/or spouse.
Regards,
Roland

I get a 404 error when trying to see the installation instructions at http://phpgedview.sourceforge.net/editing.html
I have downloaded the jar file.
Can someone tell me how to install it?
Where do I put it on the web server and how do I call it?
Thanks.

I assume you are talking about the GDBI client. The client can be run from your own computer. If you have Java installed, you can call it by doubleclicking it. Otherwise you will need to install Java.

Roland

I'm logged in with admin rights but I don't see an 'add person' link under http://www.hostname.com/phpGedView/indilist.php

Hi Paul,
Where did you get that link from? The correct link is: http://phpgedview.sourceforge.net/editing.php
