This might really be a bug report, but bear with me.
I'm trying something different with PGV, and this necessitates me having a working version of PGV from which to take screenshots.
I'm experimenting with putting this into some webspace I own. So I go through the upload process, set permissions as required, and work through the installation wizard.
Everything goes fine - I'm told the configuration has saved. But when I get to setting the admin user, I can't.
When I check config.php, nothing has been saved (despite the message saying it has saved). So I fancy I have a problem that is not PGV, but something in my host's setup. I'll deal with that.
But I'm concerned that PGV has given me a message that the config was saved, when it wasn't. This, downstream, led to the user creation error, because PGV didn't know where to record this stuff.
As I say, this may be a bug. But maybe not. But I felt I should record this.
