I have just installed and configured PhpGedViewer on the Windows/SQL server of my provider.
That seemed to work all right. I got through the configuration and I get the Php Welcome screen.
But when I choose Upload af Gedcom or Add a Gedcom i get a totally blank screen and I can not upload or add anything. It also seems that a number of the other functions chooseable from the Welcome screen does not work at all.
What am I doing wrong?
Can anybody help me out here :)
Thans in advance.
Regards
Peter
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
You're probably trying to use PhpGedView version 4.2.4. You should be using version 4.3.0 (the "SVN" version). This hasn't been released, and never will. It is, however, completely stable and downloadable as a snapshot of the SVN repository.
Since you're just starting out, you would be better served by Webtrees. Webtrees is well supported and is updated regularly by the original developers of PhpGedView. It was cloned from PhpGedView around 2010, when most of the developers left the PhpGedView project. Right now, PhpGedView is only sporadically updated when significant bugs appear and somebody takes the time and trouble to work on the program.
