I can't log inn to my PhpGedView. It is posible that I have canged the pasword and forgot about it, or somone has taken control over my online database. I can get to the files on my server.
What to do? Total reinstall or is it possible to access from my web server?

You may wish to use a database editing tool first, to check that the pgv_user and pgv_user_setting tables contain valid information for your userid. If necessary, edit the pgv_user_setting table to correct the e-mail address for your userid. This is the e-mail address where PhpGedView will send the recovery password.
Does the "Lost Password" routine work? When you click on this link in the Login screen, PhpGedView should send you an e-mail with a temporary password. You log in with this password and then use the "My Account" link in the top menu to change the password.

There is no link for Lost Password in the log inn screen. I think it is v. 4.2.2 or 4.2.3 of PhpGedView, but I have changed the setting for e-mail in Pgv_user_settings and pgv_users. Had an old e-mail adress there.
Now I only need to get the pasword changed.

Solved it. Thanks to your tip on edit tables. Have never done that before.
By setting up an dummy site, I was able to copy over the new pgv_users table to my original database.
Thanks for the help.

Bjorn:
You should consider upgrading your site to the "SVN" version of PhpGedView. This is the latest-and-greatest version 4.3.0, and is being updated from time to time. If you need download and upgrade instructions, please contact me by e-mail.
I don't understand how turning off the ability to ask for a new account would solve hacking problems. You should NEVER automatically approve every account request. On my site, anybody who asks for a new account must, as part of the procedure, clearly identify how they fit into the family tree.

As I have understood it, somone missused a username/pasword on my site. This gave them ways to hack. I'm not an expert, but after I remooved all guest accounts, there has been no problem.
The information in my database is out there for everyone to see, so you realy do not need an account.
I get a few guestions on e-mail for details, and if I have it, I always answer.
95% of the 36000 persons database was born before year 1900, and info about them are not restricted.

Yes, there is. The Login panel has not changed in over 15 years.
