    Hello,
I had someone send me a GEDCOM that she realized was not the one she wanted on the site.  Is there a way to remove a GEDCOM once it is uploaded?  I see many different files in there and so I wouldn't know which ones to just delete and I don't know if I'd even want to do it that way, from an ftp program.
Question 2:  If one has more than one GEDCOM on a site, should they be in different folders/directories?
Question 3:  Will phpGedView differentiate between two gedcoms if their name is different only with regard to one having the extension ged and the other doesn't.  For example, will it know the difference between whealtonfamily and whealtonfamily.ged?
If I can put them in separate folders, I guess that would make things easier.
    Thanks,
    Bruce

    1) From the admin screen is a link for "index directory cleanup".  Tick and click.

    2) No - they all go in the same index/ directory.

    3) IIRC, PGV used to enforce .ged extensions (adding them where missing) in the past, but doesn't not any more.  I could be wrong here - I haven't tried it recently.  Unless you have a very good reason not to, I would strongly recommend using file extensions.
