This was my first chance to try the Upgrade PhpGedView function, and since it must be an older version which is upgraded, this problem was found in Ver. 2.62 beta 1.
Warning: main(languages/rs_lang.en.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in c:\mypath\upgrade.php on line 81
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'languages/rs_lang.en.php' (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in c:\mypath\upgrade.php on line 81
execution stopped at that point, and no upgrade took place. And like it can be seen from the messages above, ResearchLog are not included in this betainstall.

Following the fatal problem described in my first posting, I installed the ResearchLog files to directory and tried the Upgrade PhpGedView function again.
This time it worked until I selected beta[show only this package], where the server reported:
The object requested (/beta/showfiles.php) could not be found on the server. You might want to go to the home page of this server or return to the referring page: http://eckmann.dk/beta/upgrade.php
I probably don't understand how this Upgrade PhpGedView function works, so at this point I dropped this upgrade function and resorted back to the good old fashioned manual upgrade method.

I have entered this one as a beta bug and some more.
I did continue with the upgrade by downloading the files by hand and upload them to my webhost. Then i could run the upgrade script It seems to work but it gave me a lot of warnings but it says that i am now running 2.65b2

Yes, I did see your beta-bug report, but not until I was about to enter one myself ;-)
However, the idea in the Upgrade PhpGedView function must be, that it should be user friendly, and to me it's much more user friendly to continue updating manually ;-))

Hello All,
My DEEPEST apologies, I included the Research Log language files as Arne found it. This is totally incorrect. It should use the normal language files. That is where the variables are contained. Hence your warning messages. Another problem popped-up I saw, which I will fix also. (Arne this is the error that shows the full page of downloads :))
Later tonight I will post an improved upgrade.php that will solve this.
Thanks for testing !!!!
Regards,
Roland
