I have installed PhPGedView successfully and loaded 3 media files onto the server. If I login as Admin I can see the files in Manage Media, but cannot see them when I list Media (same if I am logged in as a user). I have read the forums, set the Media Firewall flag to true, then false, then true again (still don't see any htaccess file). I am not sure what else to do. Any help you can offer will be appreciated!

Did you just upload these media files, or did you also link them to persons or families?

Uploading simply delivers the files to the server's file system.  When you edit each of the uploaded file's information, you have the opportunity to connect it to a person family or source.  You also provide details such as a title, format, type and you can attach a descriptive note.  This Edit action creates a media object whose details are entered into the database.

Please note that, unless you have Auto-Accept turned on for your userid (do this by editing the user privileges from the Manage Users page), you will need to accept each edit before it will be entered into the database.  If you turn on Auto-Accept for your userid, all new edits will be entered into the database automatically.  Old edits, done before you changed this option and that are still waiting for admin approval, will still need to be accepted.

If you need to connect a single media object to several persons, families, or sources, you can achieve that on the Manage Media page, Manage Links option.
