v3.1 rendering issues with Safari vs Explorer

v. 3.01 had no problems with rendering pages identically to Explorer with Safari, but v3.1 does not display the columns, but rather shows "tables" running horizontally across the page, rather than restricted in width.

  Discovered if I entered a different THEME and then switched back to the original, rendering is fine - problem solved. Not sure why I needed to "reset".
