    hi

I've just upgraded to 4.2.1 (my website hasn't got PDO enabled) but, for me, the interactive tree doesn't work when using Firefox 3.6.8.

With the Full Interactive tree, the links aren't rendered properly so it looks a mess. When I select an individual record, then click on the "All" tab, sometimes I get All the info, other times I get some weird things happening like extra tabs for modules I don't think I installed popping up! However, on the occasions when the "All" results in the interactive tree being shown at the bottom of the page, the same rendering issues appear but also the zoom buttons don't work; they take me to the top of the page.

    It seems fine in IE8.

Is anyone else seeing this problem and knows how to solve it?

I have searched through the forums but I'm not impressed with the search facilities on here!

    Thanks
    John

    Hi Stephen,

First of all thanks for your response.

As far as the search is concerned, I think you've answered what's wrong with it; it is _more _than adequate, significantly more than adequate! Not only are there so 114 results (or so), but they're listed by message, not thread, and it becomes a matter of going through every one to try to see if there's anything relevant in it. Also, if I make the search interactive firefox, it comes up with results that are the logical OR of the terms (533 results). I tried interactive AND firefox but it came up with nothing useful, so…

Thanks for your comments on the changes etc. As a matter of interest, do you know if there are any issues with the rendering and handling of the interactive tree feature in the latest release in relation to firefox? If this has all been fixed then it would be worth me raising a support ticket with my hosting provider to ask them to install a PDO enabled version of PHP. If there are still issues, that's potentially not worth pushing for at this point in time.

    John

You could try my site:  http://keldine.ca/phpGedView

This site is running the SVN version of PGV, which is somewhat more recent than the official 4.2.3 version available for download.

I haven't noticed any problems with IE 6, Firefox 3.6.8, Opera 10.6, and Safari 5.0 on my Windows XP system.

Thank you very mcuh for that. That seems to work as expected on the same browser mine screws up on.

Just thought I'd let you know, but this appears to have spontaneously sorted itself out! Well, at least, I've restarted the browser a few times, and probably restarted my PC, and now it all seems ok.

Thanks for any suggestions, sorry it seems to have been a waste of time!

    John
