So, what does that have to do with the cost of milk?
Definitely you will need to do a re-import as there have been a number of table additions and modifications. It will NOT work until you do so. have you already done so?

I was giving that as a point of reference that a long time had passed since my last svn up. IOW, if there had been table additions and modifications, you would be able to tell me I'd need to do those. Is there a script to run, or how do I know what those are?

I gave you the answer, and your initial question was obtuse, at best. Go to http://your-pgv-site/editgedcoms.php and reimport your gedcom. It will automatically create any new tables or modify existing ones, as is usually the case with major upgrades.

I'm sorry my question was too stupid for you. It certainly wasn't my intention to be obtuse. http://your-pgv-site/editgedcoms.php also results in a 302 loop.

Still with the attitude. Your posts elsewhere show similar disrespect for anyone who tries to help.
Sorry, but life is too short to let you try to make me miserable with a cheap shot like that. Water off a duck's back.
Fortunately, others are appreciative of the support they receive.

Dishonesty as well? I've not disrespected anyone at all. The only person I've had an issue with has been you, and that's due to your impolite mannerisms. As I recall, there were other people expressing similar issues with your character.
I'm not the one going around calling people's attempts to get help "obtuse" am I?

If you have not already done so, you should first upgrade your PGV installation to the most recent version available. That would be the "SVN" version or the "tarball" version that Stephen referred to.
You should launch the Install wizard by accessing the Configuration selection on the Admin menu. Step throgh ALL of the pages of the Install wizard by clicking "Next", even if you haven't made any changes to any of the entries. One of the things the Install wizard does, even if you don't see it, is to blank out the "server URL" field, and you MUST save the configuration, or things won't work right. The "login URL" field would normally be blank too.
If you can't launch the Install wizard (your "redirect" problem), you need to manually edit the "config.php" file. This is a plain text file that any text editor should be able to handle. Make sure that the "server_url" and "login_url" entries are empty. Be sure to save the updated file as a text file - not in UTF-8 encoding.
When you're successful at launching the updated PGV, you need to access the Manage GEDCOMs menu and re-import the GEDCOM. This action will ensure that any table changes required by the new version of PGV are properly applied.

Hi, I just did a svn up, and I'm now getting a redirect loop. A 302 redirect going back to the $SERVER_URL. Last svn up was late last year. Ideas?
.
Huh?
The latest tarball is dated 12 days ago, hardly last year. You've downloaded the wrong code.

Let me be more explicit. *MY* last svn update prior to this one was a year ago.
er, last year, not a year ago

Nice how you come with a bunch of insults when YOU are not able to understand the question, and then you can't follow through…
