I get this error when checking my gedcom:

    0016590 1 CHAN
    0016591 2 DATE 19 OCT 2021
    0016592 3 TIME 04:52:08
    0016593 2 _PGVU [me]
    0016594 1 FAMS @Fx888@
    0016595[[1 HUSB @Ix6DB@]]‎ ‎‎INDI @Ix6DB@‎‎ does not link back; see INDI @Ix6DB@‎
    0016596[[1 WIFE @Ix6FJ@]]‎ ‎‎INDI @Ix6FJ@‎‎ does not link back; see INDI @Ix6DB@‎
    0016597[[1 CHIL @Ix6GQ@]]‎ ‎‎INDI @Ix6GQ@‎‎ does not link back; see INDI @Ix6DB@‎
    0016598 1 _UID xxx
    0016599 0 @x6FJ@ INDI
    0016600 1 NAME [name]
    0016601 2 GIVN [first]
    0016602 2 SURN [last]

However, the individual referenced in all three errors there links back to the FAMS and the family record references the individual. Did I miss something?

    Thank you in advance.

I found the problem. The individual record had HUSB, WIFE, and CHIL rows in it, and those only need to be in the family record. Deleting the references in the individual record resolved the problem, and the family is still intact, with the individuals all still linked to the family.

Thank you for letting us know.

The GEDCOM "specification" is very confusing, and it's easy to make mistakes, especially if you edit the GEDCOM manually. The GEDCOM Checker sometimes doesn't help much either.

    I avoid the GEDCOM checker.
