Is there an easy way to add a URL/website "fact" to a person record?  Address has a single "email" field, which is not really sufficient for email, either?

I would like to add one or multiple URLs to each record.  Possible?

There is a WWW tag, but it strictly, like email,  it should only be used as subsidiary to the ADDR tag.

PGV does its best to stick to GEDCOM standards, although like all software its never perfect. I suspect just adding a WWW tag at level 1 will work.

I added a "Cusotm event" of type "URL" and PGV recognized it as a "Web URL".  I'd prefer that to be 1 step.  I'll try WWW.

Adding WWW to the "Add Facts" list works.  Thanks.

Just a note for future reference. At some point you will find, on the GEDCOM Administration page a "Check" option. This runs a check over your GEDCOM file for any non-GEDCOM spec entries. Can be useful, but it will of course generate errors for things like a level 1 WWW tag. Its not a problem, you just ignore it (as long as you don't plan trying to share your file with other software).

Thought I should mention it, as many users "complain" that they are getting errors they think they shouldn't because PGV lets them "break the rules" :-)

    Hello thockin -

I use the NOTE field to include URL's for Internet sources of a Presidents sites I maintain for curiosity value. Any complete URL with the http:// prefix becomes a clickable link below the GED Fact it is entered under. Plus it gets some nice formatting and does not detract from the text layout when looking at the Person page.

I believe all Notes are saved in the Database only and not in the GED. I do not think it affects my GED structure (or is counter to the GED format in any way), but I may be wrong on this point. I simply havent bothered to check. Others can clarify for future reference.
