How can I chance the gedcom file when I use PHPLauncher?
In the FAQ explains:
How Can I Run PhpGedView from a CD? Follow these steps to run PhpGedView from a CD: . . .
(3) Delete the Presidents gedcom and add your own gedcom.
But I get this message when I click add: Notice: Undefined variable: ged in D:\...\editconfig_gedcom.php on line 32

I try again from the beginning with a new PHPGedWiewer installation (run with PHPLauncher), and this time I have no Notice or Warning but when I are on the page where Manage Gedcoms (the list is empty) and click on Add another GEDCOM and write my Username and Password, click on Login nothing happen. Just the boxes are cleared and it went on like that.
If I try Create a New Gedcom or 'Upload Gedcom' I come to a page where I can browse to my gedcom fil and Upload Gedcom the same, nothing happen.
Im be grateful of any help.

You must have read and write rights on the index folder. I don't now if this is the issue in your case. But if you want to run phplaunch on a CD, as i understand your post, you have to configure and import the gedcom on your harddrive first and then Write the phpLaunch folder to CD.

Patrik

Hi pathan
. . . you have to configure and import the gedcom on your harddrive first . . .
Is that means then I cannot do this offline? You have right in that I wish to run PHPLauncher on cd, but can I not run it on the harddrive and setup the PHPGedWiewer?
Or can I modify the presidents.ged to my own data? I try it but the facts and notes is not showing.

Klit

You can use it oflline on your computer and upload your gedcomfile that you have exported from a genealogy program to PGV. You have to use indexmode. After that you can burn it to a CD for viewing purpose. You can not work with the material when it is on a CD as you can't write to a cd when it is burned.

I hat a conception of doing in that way. But the problem is when I browse to mygedcom.ged and click "Upload Gedcom", the process stops. Nothing happen (?)
If I click on "Add another GEDCOM" the program ask for username and password indefinitely.
I do really hope it can be solved. PHPGedWiewer looks to be an imposing way to show the family.

Hi Klit,
Which version are you running of PGV? I do recall a login issue somewhere down the line but should be fixed in the latest release.
Because the upload gedcom is the easiest way to go if you want to add a new gedcom to the program.
Regards,
Roland
