Some edit windows do not respect this setting. In some cases it makes sense for workflow, in other cases it may be an oversight (ie a bug). Which window isn't closing?

When I delete an Individual. - On a Side note. I accidently merged the wrong second Tree to mine..so now i have families that are not related to me. Is there a way to Delete All members of a certain family in one shot?

Deleting an individual is tricky from the interface perspective. webtrees does what you want, but this tries to leave you in a record that does not exist anymore. You get an error record with no obvious path to where you were before you got to the individual you deleted.
The PGV interface is not perfect, but if you close the popup window (usually with the 'x' in the corner of the window) you'll be in the un-updated page of the deleted individual. If you were in the view families mode or have the family navigator up you can go to a related individual.

wally - don't try to undo the gedcom merge, just load a backup. That's what they're for.
Backup, right.
