Hi I too have an error where I get a blank screen when I point the browser at the phpgedview install directory. I believe I setup all of the permissions correctly, but maybe not. When I view the source of the blamk page I get this:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" http-equiv=Content-Type></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>
Thanks in advance for any help.

Ed,
You share nothing about your possible installation: PGV/version, server/sw version, php/level, MySQL/level, Ram from server, PHP script timeout, etc.
What does,
I too have an error where I get a blank screen
mean?
Are you referring to another thread? If so, does it seem to be the same, or different? was their problem solved? What is the link to the thread, if important?
Also,
I believe I setup all of the permissions correctly, but maybe not.
What does this mean? Either you did as the WIKI instructs, or you didn't. Can't be a 'maybe/maybe not'.
Sounds like you're trying to install using PHP4, not v5, with a PGV of 4.2.3, but can't say as you haven't told us much. -Stephen
