Tried to import with different times, the import gets stuck. When I see the files in the server I see that in the index dir. that there is the gedcom, but the program says that no gedcom imported.
Uploaded gedcom to folder in server, tried to add uploaded gedcom, told the path, but program say the file don't exist.
Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?

I have two files to import. I did only tried with the smallest one: 865KB , the other one is 1880KB.
My files have capitalized first letter. Should I changed the file names?

No need to change filename, just enter exactly as it exists. Generally, spaces are not good so remove them if necessary. Once your Ged_file is imported into the database, it remains as mostly a backup of your original data. You may want to keep the original file in another place as a true backup. It is also recreated for you if you ever export your data from your web installation.
Please report how things work out for you. Good luck and welcome to PGV !

Generally, not enough information to guide you without guessing.

What folder? INDEX ? What are the permissions on this folder? Usually needs to be 777.
What is the path you specified for import?
PGV version/ System configuration and type? -Stephen

This is what I did and it did not work.
1. The first problem I encounter is to import gedcom. a) eliminated old "gedcom" b) import gedcom from my computer to PGV with standard confidutarion and only changing the times. The import goes for certain time and stops, not reaching more than 83% done. Does not matter if I say to press continue auto or manual. The welcome page of PGV says that gercon has not been imported.
2. Uploaded my gedcom file to a folder in my page. a) Choose the option of adding a gedcom and encounter the same problem as before.
Times tried from 10 sec. to 120 sec. with 10 sec. 83%, with 120 sec. 31% imported.
Is it more clear now, to see what maybe the problem?

Sounds to me that your support server is inadequate in either processor speed or memory, or both.
HOWEVER, go ahead and set the time to 5 seconds and auto-continue, not manual and try again.
You can send me a copy of your GEDCOM for me to examine for any problems with the file. Email:
mailto:GEDCOMS-at-MyArnolds-dot-com
I'll run it through a couple of programs for checking and do an OFFLINE import into my laptop PGV test machine and report any issues.
How much memory have you allocated. 32mb is a real minimum with PGVv4.2.3 and 64 or more is much better.
Set PHP timeouts to a minimum of 60 seconds, in both PHP.INI and in the configuration settings. -Stephen

The import has been improved with the latest versions. Are you on 4.2.3?
How large is the Gedcom file?
Linux servers are case sensitive with file names.
