There are many options. The first is in the Notes tab. You can add a specific note here as well as a Shared Note if you to use that note for many places. Then for each event there are "Add a note" and "Add a shared Note" links near the bottom of each edit screen. There are also links to add notes to media and sources and……

hi yeah, I just found it now and was going to comment on that here. Seems you had time to reply. The note tab was grayed out and I overlooked it. One of the issues I have with the usability of this otherwise wonderful software. :/

JSYK, the reason for the 'grey-out' was to actually speed navigation by users. If, as was the situation years ago, every tab was actively displayed, there would be no way to determine whether a NOTE, a SOUR, a MEDIA item, or other important fact existed for an individual without needlessly clicking on every tab or selecting the ALL tab as the default display. We chose the option of greying-out currently inactive (unused) tabs so that no time was wasted and it has been a welcome feature.
