I'm not using Duke Nukem, or whatever, just Apache and PHP, so I didn't set this variable as is specified in the help text. Then, when I tried to import a GEDCOM (using 2.61.1 with MySQL by the way), the site is essentially broken. I try to import the GEDCOM and it essentially doesn't work because it can't find any of the files based on this variable. Then, it can't change anything in the database and lots of other strange errors are caused.
Setting this variable to the full path to the geneology directory fixes all my problems.
Just thought you ought to know.
