Happens once in awhile that the path and the name of the GEDCOM desapears from the GEDCOM configuration, and when I log in I am getting an empty site.. (no gedcom) and need to do the "add gedcom" and type back in the path. I also losing few settings configuration, so I need to re config them. (the gedcom is there)
Any idea how can I solve it (please, if possible without upgrading to 4.2.3)
Thanks, Baruch

There is little support here for a version that was released over 1.5 years ago, but if your config.php is locked there is little opportunity for anyone or anything making any changes or substitutions to the file. IIRC, I don't think the path was to be specified in the config.php, beginning with 4.0, but I can not be sure - you would have to read the help file that came with that version.

Thank you for your reply Stephen. The config.php is locked.
the path is specified on the GEDCOM configuration, and this is where its getting lost sometimes. (Gedcom Configuration > Gedcom Basics)

"config.php" contains a pointer to the "index" directory. Presumably this doesn't get changed.
Within that "index" directory, file "gedcoms.php" contains information about each of your GEDCOM files, together with its title and other information. Other files in that "index" directory contain the confguration for each GEDCOM as well as the privacy settings for each.
I suspect that a hacker has found your site and has emptied the "index" directory.
Your best course of action is to relocate the "index" directory to be outside your web-addressable space. There is sufficient Help information on this subject. In addition to that we STRONGLY recommend that you upgrade to PGV version 4.2.3. Do this after you've relocated the "index" directory and have your site working properly.
