After logging in, I can select any forum or tracker I wish, except for the "Developer" forum. This forum seems to me missing, but you can get to it after selecting one of the other forums.
I don't like what they're doing to "improve" the UI. I thought it was working fine, so why change it yet again?

I prefer the wider column, but I wasn't crazy about the coloration. Particularly didn't like the grey type as its hard to read for an old man. I took the opportunity offered to complain to them directly.
Otherwise, I've not had not seen any big change.

When SF asked for comments about this 'new look' the other day, my response was a pretty curt "why are you wasting time and development expertise on the 'look and feel' when the underlying forum infrastructure is so AWFUL?"
Stephen - what 'wider column' ? For me the forum is still squashed into about 700px on the left side, with nothing but white space to the right. That space will presumably be filled with advertising later, as it was on the old "design".

Hear hear (about changing the cosmetics when the functionality SUCKS). Well, we get what we pay for.
But I can't for the life of me understand why some people need a professor in a Human Factors class to make them understand that light gray letters on a pale blue background is a Bad Idea.

Hey, as long as we're badmouthing SourceForge, I've been irritated for some time at the spam I keep getting from there. But today's advertisement of a MicroSoft product hit rock-bottom from the viewpoint of Open Source.

seem to have changed the website layout yet again ... very difficult to navigate to the forums here.
One thing I did notice though was the the PGV "homepage" ...
https://sourceforge.net/projects/phpgedview/
offers PGV 3.3.8.tar.bz2 as the apparent preferred package.

Well, if the ads pay for something that doesn't otherwise "cost" me anything, I can live with that.
Personally I find the new look to be quite hard on the eyes. After working on the computer all day I hate having to squint to make things out.
Good news is that apparently the actual forum software is finally in line for an upgrade.

Interestingly, I now see sourceforge offering version 4.1.4 for download.
And tonight 4.2.1 is the "featured" release.
