I've put up a custom report that I use on my site to list an individual's convict ancestors. In my site I identify convicts by an OCCU tag with 'Convict'.
...
1 OCCU Convict
2 DATE 1813
2 PLAC Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
....
May not be useful if you haven't used data the same way as I but the report could always be modified. Filed in the Tracker/Patches section. Bugs to me please.

Just out of curiosity and definition, IMHO, thief or crook or rapist or burglar or arsonist or…. might be a OCCUpation, but isn't "convict" more a result of being caught at doing something and not an OCCU?
I would have used FACT with TYPE - Convict, with the dates of incarceration as the TAG for recording a stint in prison, and not OCCU. EVEN tag could be used for a specific event that perhaps caused the later convict status, like:
1 EVEN Great Train Robbery
2 NOTE George was one of seven participants in the train robbery later known as "The Great Train Robbery". The robbery was planned by ….
2 DATE 24 FEB 1910
2 PLAC London, England
etc

I am interested in your report as we have a number of convicts in our site. I also agree with Stephen on this. I use the EVEN tag and use the term Conviction for when sentenced, Transported when departing the UK and Convict when they arrive in Australia. I use the Advanced Search option searching for Event with the term Convict and I get a list of our 26 convicts.
This allows me to easily find their descendants, but it does not help to find if any Ancestor of a specific INDI was a convict. Therefore I am interested in your report, but not using the OCCU tag.
I am happy to discuss the development of your report off this forum if you would like. For example, I would like this search function to find for a specific INDI, any ancestors who served in the military, perhaps using the MILI tag. You can email me at: stuart at scss dot com dot au if you would like to.
