Aside from editing the raw GEDCOM record, which is how I'm doing it now, what edit window can be used to modify (or remove) an existing PEDI record? I can't for the life of me find it.

An interesting question. I don't think there is one. Unless someone knows better, that surely needs fixing.

The one place I havn't looked, but doubt its there, is Quick Update. I don't have it on my site

Only way to do it is via "edit raw gedcom". It's one reason I've quit using PEDI except for adoptions. Half the time I was forgetting to change it to birth and it's a pain to add afterwards.

Have you tried adding PEDI to the list of events to show on the Quick Update form?  It will probably need to be added to the ist of unique events too, so that you only get one PEDI sub-record.

Please let us know if this works.  If so, we can change the default GEDCOM configuration.

Thanks Gerry, this works. I added PEDI to the unique individual events, and it now provides a Pedigree event that can be edited or deleted. I did not yet test it in the quick update function.

For some reason I never thought to try adding it. Sometimes we miss the simplest of solutions :)

      Well, yes and no
I thought the PEDI as supposed to be

      1 FAMC @Fxxxxx@
      2 PEDI

but adding the unique fact and using the new addition causes a

      1 PEDI birth

to be added to the record

Stephen's right - thats how any of the additions to Unique Individual (or Family) facts work - always added as a level 1. So thats not really the solution here. It probably needs a new edit function in the FAM page edit options table.

I'll see what can be done to fix this.  It will take a few days.
