At the web hotel for my eckmann.dk domain I have the problem that the upload function in phpGedView doesnt work, and since the error-screen in IE6 reported that the server couldnt be found, this problem could be mistaken for being DNS related. However, when trying with MozillaFirebird, it reported that the file was empty. ;-)
The problem has nothing to do with DNS or file being empty.
When looking at the header-dialog between the browser and the server, it was revealed that the server at the web hotel remained silent, when asked to do the upload. ;-(
When looking further into the problem it was revealed that small files was uploading correctly (up to approx 96.2 KB). While larger files couldnt upload at all (approx 97,6 KB and up).
Now I wonder what parameter need to be adjusted at the server in order to make the phpGedView built-in upload function work at this server?

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Apparently the mentioned FAQ doesn't apply to newer versions of sambar Server.
The webhotel hosting my eckmann.dk has now increased the limit to such a degree that I now can upload my gedcoms using phpGedViews built in upload function.

Sorry - i found an answer in a FAQ at:
http://intranet.logiconline.org.ve/docs/help/faq.htm#q31
It say:
Q: What is the maximum size I can upload as POST arguments or using multipart/form-data ?
A: The Sambar Server has an internal limit of 100KB for all content length (this includes GET/POST arguments as well as multipart/form-data).
This explains why the upload function in phpGedView doesn't work on the Sambar server. :-(
