When I upload my GEDCOM file the Hebrew name gets replaced with / x x /. I have checked the raw GEDCOM file and the data is in there correctly. Is there something special that needs to be specified on the upload?

PGV definitely can import Hebrew names, as we have lots of Hebrew users. No special action is required.
Did you select any conversion options (e.g. ASCII->UTF8) when you imported? If you get this wrong, you can break the UTF-8 encoding that is used for the hebrew characters.

I am using Family Historian as a desktop program to enter/update my GEDCOM information. It turns out that FH puts an entry CHAR ANSI at the beginning of the file. When I change that to UTF8, the file loads correctly.
