I have some individuals with lots of names or variations on their name. Since I don't have that many to worry about I just keep adding a name to these people and then sourcing that variation. One guy is pretty cluttered up . . .
I can't for the life of me find what I think is a custom gedcom tag for "name variation"
But that brings up the next question, I'm pretty sure PGV has something along the lines of "also known as" (sorry, should have looked for that before posting.)
What's the thought amongst the master genealogists here, use aka or the custom gedcom tag for name variation or just do as I've done and keep adding names? Is there a proper way to do it for that matter?
