    Hi John

I loaded the latest version on my local server and everything went fine. Setup worked great, adding users went great, import and update gedcom went smoothly.

You have done a great job!

I have experienced one "so so" problem. While logged in as a user and looking at a specific individual I changed the language. In doing so the language changed correctly but the pedigree tree jumped back to the root ID. I next used the "browser back arrow" and it went back to the correct individual and the language was changed. This probably stems back to the $pid problem and since it doesn't cause an error is probably not a mojor issue.

My next thought is due to the amount I list for the places about fact

i.e. "some cemetery, some town, some township, some county, some state"

These long strings cause the pedigree tree boxes to overlap in the display. I set the Place Level to 0 to correct this but I believe it would be nice to add a line directly under the "4 Generation Pedigree Chart" which states "For details click the individuals name"

I think it would help new users learn how to get around the records easier.

    Thanks Steve

      Hi Steve,

I believe the problem with changing the language has been fixed in the CVS for the next version.

I think you are going to like the next version.  In version 2.52 there won't be anymore overlapping boxes because the boxes will be clipped at the borders, but users can still get to the information by clicking on a zoom icon in the box.  You can see this feature working on my development site here:

I like the new look to the boxes, that should cover all my thoughts. I'll be keeping an eye out for the release.

I'm setting up FTM version 11 and will let you know if I run into any problems with the gedcom files.

      Steve
