Strange effect

At my eckmann.dk domain I have several phpGedView running in different folders, and in my opinion these installs are supposed to be independant.

However, when I login to ver. 2.51.3 (MySQL MODE) in the "2513" folder, it appear that I at the same time get logged in status in the ver. 2.51.3 (INDEX MODE) installed in the "phpGedView" folder ;-)

Can this be a side-effect of the common session.save_path or the common session.cookie_path ?

Well, why am I asking when I have the opportunity to test it myself ?

When I tried to set session.save_path to ./index/ for one of the installs, the login/logout for the two installs became independant!

Since my installs interact when they share the same common session.save_path on the server, I wonder what will happen with all the Danish phpGedView installs at a server like 1go.dk ?

I my case the same user exist in both installs, in the case with the many different installs at 1go.dk the same user will not exist in all the different installs, but chance is, that more than one install has a user with the same userid.

My guess is, that this effect can create some confusion, because suddenly a user who didn't login, potentially can see data, which was supposed to be hidden.

At this time I can add, that the above described effect only occurs if the username used to login exist in two or more different installs.
