I have set up a family tree and have 600 entries but I want to know how to download a ged.com file of my entries to keep as a backup copy. Can someone give me a step by step process to do this please?

The process is very simple:

Log in with your Admin credentials (GEDCOM Admin will do)

Access the "Manage GEDCOMs and edit Privacy" page, either from the Admin page or from your personal menu (below the "My Gedview" top-level menu)

Click on the "download" menu item that you see on the same line where the name of your GEDCOM file is shown.

PhpGedView will export the database to a GEDCOM file that is then stored in the /index directory on the server. After that, it will ZIP this GEDCOM file and then tell the browser to download that file.
