Hi there, i find that often when i use the census fact in pgv i could also enter a residence stat.
What is the difference? when should i use which?

RESI doesn't usually include more than an address and a date. CENS would have detailed source references, perhaps a list of the other family members present in the household at the time, the address, occupation, ages, etc etc. In short, CENS is a much more "complete" FACT.
Therefore I rarely use RESI, unless its an address I found apart from any FACTS, and not otherwise noted on other facts.

On the other hand, I never use the CENS entry, and always use the RESI (or sometimes OCCU) and show the Census data as a NOTE to the RESI, but then that is how I started, and the key is whatever you do, be consistent.
