"presentation will also show how PhpGedView can remotely link to data from New FamilySearch"

Is this future plans or here and now?  Is it documented anywhere?

I have code that will connect and remotely link PGV to new FamilySearch.

The biggest holdup is that new FamilySearch is having issues with their legal department and open source software.  I need to follow up again with them to see where they are.

You can find some information about it here: http://code.google.com/p/php-fsapi/

I can make the code available to a few people, but I can't release it.  If you are interested, send me an email.

How do I get a copy of it?

I tried to respond directly to your email, but sourceforge refused to send it for some reason.

PGV's connection to new FamilySearch is currently in Beta and requires the latest code for PGV which has not been released yet.  There is a new release planned for the coming week, but this is a maintenance release which will not contain these latest changes.  A release with this code is not planned for a couple of months still.

If you would like to help test it then you can get the latest code from the phpGedView-ca branch of the SVN.
    http://phpgedview.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/phpgedview/branches/phpGedView-ca/

After you have this branch up and running I can get you instructions on how to edit the config.php settings so that they can connect to the live NFS API.

    Thanks,

    -John

How is the release of this progressing? Is there a version number and date it is expected to be released? Thx. It sounds exciting.

Oh, and good work with these expanding capabilities!!

    All the best,

    Greg
