I have been testing v4.1.6 for a while now and have noticed that when I do a Backup via Admin, that it will only backup the media and protected media of the currently active GED. If as I do there are more than one GEDs on the site, I have to activate each GED then do a Backup of them just to get the relevant media and protected media files.
Also, How do i do a backup of the message board (punBB)? Can't find a backup or restore inside the system. I am assuming the only way at the moment is a MySQL level backup!
Cheers
James
Re punBB - yes that is the only solution, as with most bulletin boards. The only place data is stored is in the DB, so a mysql backup is the only way. I have 'mysqldumper' installed, and accessable through an added menu item in PGV. Its a good, easy, way to backup your entire database for PGV plus punBB and any others you have. Its free from http://www.mysqldumper.de/
(Don't worry about the German language on their site - the readme file is in English (at least enough of it is) and its pretty easy to install.)

I can't help with the PGV backup issue though - with 600+ media items a file backup including them stopped being a feasable proposition a long time ago. I just download new media to my local copy of PGV's file on a regular basis. Most of them are uploaded from my server anyway, so I have the originals.
