#1919 search and replace does not update ged record

V4.1.3
I did a search
Boulder,,CO,USA
replace
Boulder,Boulder,CO,USA

subsequently a search
for Boulder,Boulder works as expected,
but the .ged file is not updated.
If I update one of the records found in the search,
then the .ged file is updated.
