The charts do not work as expected in IE

1. Pedigree - the vertical line to the parents is missing

2. Descendancy - A. the vertical line to the children (3 children - the 1st with 3 grandchildren) is too short and does neither reach the 1st nor the 3rd child.
- B. A part of the second child and the 3rd child are printed under the chart block.
- C. The root-person has a small horizontal line to the right. (also in FF)
- D. Only the root-person moves when the vertical sidebar is moved. The children and grandchildren remain fixed.

3. Hourglass - Similar to the problems with 1. and 2.
- The 'pedigree chart' moves with the right vertical bar, the children and grandchildren remain static as in 2.

    Meliza,
This seems to work on my site, so this might be theme specific.

I cannot see the chart block on your site.

You can see the behavior on my test and prod sites especially in MyGedView.
    Use the development user.

John told me that he thought that he already handled this and to go ahead and post it.
I assumed that he first checked it, too.

    Meliza and KJ,

When I was first programming the block I experienced that very odd behavior, which of course is a bug in IE as it is the exact same code as is found on the hourglass page itself just wrapped in a scrollable div.

I thought I had found a work-a-round for it. But I did see the behavior repeated on Meliza's site at least in her theme. So it definitely needs more testing.

If you switch and just use the pedigree or descendancy options for that chart, then IE behaves correctly.

In the 4.2 branch the preferred configuration is the tree nav chart which you can easily scroll around and navigate the tree. So I may disable the hourglass option in the future in favor of the tree nav.

The problems show in all the themes in IE and for all 3 chart types.

I see the lines in the regular charts, but almost never in the block chart.

    Meliza
