The first time I used fromgen 2.07 it worked but I only did a short test form. When I started the real thing, I started getting Parse error: parse error, expecting `','' or `';'' (at line whatever). I restarted building forms with shorter field lists and when I got down to only one field..it worked. If I add a second field, then I get the parse error again.
I checked and rechecked for unacepted characters etc etc etc. but anything over one field returns the parse error no matter what.
I deleted the formgen files from the server and uploaded a fresh batch but still no luck. I even tried v 2.06 but no luck there either.
I'm really stumped. any usefull advice?

What is your exact input? I have retrace your steps and see if I end up with the error you are talking about. Also, try creating the form on the demo site and see if that works: http://phpformgen.sourceforge.net/phpform

I just created a test form with 3 fields as follows:
      field 1 ...(required)...Last Name..[field type: Text box]  [Size:default]
      field2...(required)....First Name...[field type: Text box]  [Size:default]
      field3...(required)....Email Address...[field type:email]  [field1 size:12]

      on setup:
      entered the email address
checked the box for formgen to create a thank you page
checked yes to create a data file
checked no to insert into mysql
checked yes to create a table (named the table test1)

Table columns where pre- filled with the following:
      Last_Name
      First_Name
      Email_Address

it created the from and when I filled in the blanks and submitted I got the following:

Parse error: parse error, expecting `','' or `';'' in /home/[myserver]/public_html/phpform/forms/ process.php on line 38

note: If I submit without filling in the required fields, It doesn't redirect to the ooops page...still get the parse error message.
Again, if I only set up one field it works O.K.

Tried the demo as you suggested and it worked fine !!

      I'm stumped!

Aah, then i guess its a bug in the new version. (The demo site is running an older version). I will retrace your steps and try to recreate the error. Thanks for letting me know.

I discovered a couple minutes ago that the problem was in letting formgen create a thank you page. If I used my own url  it worked O.K. BUT you already know that.
THANKS for the quick fix and quick responses!
Nice to know there's someone out there who actually cares about thier product!

well, since the program has a significant user base, I feel that I have a certain level of responsibility towards it... even though its a free program and I make nothing off it. Since I'm the only developer, its hard to put up a one man show.. but oh well, as long as things are moving along, its all good.
