database and check box selection

I have a form with 13 feilds, everything works fine, when i submit. but when i browse the database all those feild i am using the checkbox selection for doesnt work. how can i solve this? i cnat change my option to drop-down as one of the items has many selections and couple can be selected. appreciate your help and advice
