I've just downloaded the lated PHPforngen V2 09
i have unzipped it into a file on my desk top and attempted to follow the instructions here

    http://phpformgen.sourceforge.net/install.html

    i got as far as

Point your browser to: http://www.example.com/phpform/index.php or where ever you uploaded the program.  This will take you though the form generator tool to create your forms. Each time you want to generate a form, complete the process below.

ie not very far at all

my site is not yet live and i don't want to put anything on my host server untill i know the form is working.

i have already created a form in flash - and want to use this. am i right in thinking that the phpformgen makes the form for you - becasue i don't want that - i'm only looking for the code.

    please help me :)

i did right click on the index.php file and copy it's location from the properties panel into my browser - from there i clicked on read me and again  it says

      2. Upload the unpacked directory to your web host

      3. Set read+write+execute file permissions on the 'forms' directory and *everything* inside it (including all subdirectories and files)

      what's the unpacked directory???

Uniserver installs very easily.  Starting and stoping the web server is easy.  Once this is started you use the web server starting page as if it were your host.  All the html, php, and mysql will operate as if it were live on your host.  The one exception is that your PC will not have a mail server.  You can test all you want before moving anything to your host.

Take a look at this tool.  It will allow you to use your PC as a web server for testing html, php, and mysql.
