I have a form that works great.

Today I tried to create a new one.

I've tried creating small ones, big ones, ones with different fields, etc.

Every time it says it was created fine. Then I go to the form, and fill it out. Or not. And then I hit submit and get an error message: [an error occurred while processing this directive]

So I go to the admin, and I get the same error: [an error occurred while processing this directive]

    Any ideas?

This is very likely a file or folder permissions issue.  Check file and folder permissions.  Check to see that the relative locations of files and folders are the same as the original form.

I checked all that, no go. It was created in the exact same place as the other one, all the permissions are exactly the same. The first works (I set it up probably 5-6 months ago), and any type of new one won't.

        "exact same place"
Does this mean you over-wrote the previous one?  I know these forms work.  I have generated and used many myself and have helped literally over 100 others get their forms running so it can not be the form unless there is some very recent bug that I am not aware of.
Send me the link to your form zip file and I will load it on my server.

From your initial post I see you are using version 2.09.  If you have modified the installation files you could have damaged the generator installation.  You can also try to reinstall it to make sure the the installed files are OK.

Didn't overwrite it, just created a new one in the same area.

I don't believe I modified the installation files, but I suppose that's possible. It was a Fantastico auto-install.

The main folder is here: http://spreeshow.com/08registration/use/

The SPREE08Registration is working fine, the VisVicVoting is not. Please be careful, I have a lot of data in the one that is working.

You'll notice that when you try to click on the admin or process.php, you get the same error, whereas on the one that's working, no errors.

I suppose I can reinstall, the reason I am hesitant is that the voting one is a massive form that took me an hour to upload all the info. So it's painful to start over.

I am getting the same error message. After reading this post I uninstalled and reinstalled the script from my hosts cpanel. I again tried to create a script which the generator said was created with no errors and when I click on the admin link or try to use the form I get the message '". I went in to look at the permissions the files were 777 the folders at 755 as per my web hosts instructions I rest permissions too folders at 755 and files at 644 and now I get this message "The following errors occured while processing your form input.
You did not enter one or more of the required fields. Please go back and try again.
Invalid email address entered" I have reset entered the correct info and still get this message.

This problem turned out to be a setting in my php.ini file that had to be turned on by my host.

Forget the above reply that was for a different problem, the above was solved by setting permissions in the one file in the files directory under my form. The file name was "02_42_28_haar.html". In other words all file permissions in the form directory and below must have permissions set to 644 in my case.
    (./phpforms/_form_Name/Admin/Files)
