I created a form using the version (stable) installed via SimpleScripts on my hosted server. Created a very simple form containing an email address formatted field which inserts rows into a mysql database. During form generation, the Mysql tables were generated. I have chmod 777 on everything, which I won't use the product if I have to do that because its entirely unsecure. But that aside, during development, I did it.

The form, contain five fields did not work at all. I can fill the form out fine, the html side looks fine. The problem is with the process php or includes. I cut and pasted the function from the includes into the process.php and still the same Http 500 IE error page. No error codes returned.

Granted I'm new to php, but have 17 years experience with PL/SQL and was a UNIX admin for 5 years, so I don't get this. I believe the problem may lie with the line of code that contains all the strrevs or perhaps a setting on my server.

I'm learning this mysql stuff, but I can't believe if phpFormGenerator could create the table, that I can't insert a row. And yes, all privs are granted to the user in the MySQL database.

Also, I don't want to just run a form called form1.html from the phpFormGenerator folder, I would like to paste the form into the bottom of an html page, which I think I can easily do, and redirect back to my home page and move the form's directory from the use directory to just off public_html.

I'm sorry so frustrated, been working on it for a day and could've written the thing myself by now. But I like the tool, great design, simple, just enough.

Also, slashes keep getting inserted into some of my tags after editing with a text editor and previewing in IE, is it due to the error? What does this mean?

Also I don't know how in php or html to "goback" without clicking a link. So I am pretty dumb on the internet side.

Any help here would be really appreciated. And should I set the char set in the page containing the form from ISO8859-1 to UTF-8 or don't I need to worry about it?

Thanks for any help, sorry so many questions, if you need help on Oracle, let me know.;)

I can help, how would you like to proceed?
BTW, I may ask for a trade on Oracle help.  When we get your form ready to go I will present my questions to see if you can help me.
