You mention the error yourself here: you do a paragraph tag and then
you include public/phpESP.first.php.
See the example subdir for the solution: you have to include
phpESP.first.php before any output happens. So move the include above
your paragraph tag and you should be fine. Also: try upgrading to the
latest version (svn version contains a small bugfix after the released
version).
