Initial Comment:
I've had problems using phpESP 1.7.5 with PHP 5.x. I
downloaded, installed and configured the latest CVS
version but, I still have the same issues:

1. In the login screen, eevry time you want to login,
the page just refreshes. I am certain the login and
password is correct.
2. If you disable the authentication for the designer
interface, clicking on any link on the designer
interface refreshes the page but nothing else happens.

I'm attaching an HTML version of the output of test.php

I cannot duplicate this here.  My PHP information from
test.php is below:
    * Version: 5.0.5-1
    * OS: Linux
    * SAPI: apache2handler
    * register_globals: No
    * magic_quotes_gpc: No
    * magic_quotes_runtime: No
    * safe_mode: No
    * open_basedir:

Could you be blocking cookies?  What browser are you using?
