Initial Comment:
If I try to make more than 2 copies of  survey I get
this error message:

[ Error copying survey. (Duplicate entry 'gdevs_copy1'
for key 2) ]

(I have gdev, gdev_copy and gdev_copy1, i was expecting
gdev_copy2 to be created)

why do i do so many copies? simple, as i can't test a
survey and edit it later i should test a copy and edit
the original... :-/

Setting a survey to "test" status will allow you to test a
survey, both from within the management interface and publicly. 
survey.php?name=yoursurvey&test=1 should allow public
access/testing

The duplicate error is a bug.
