[phpesp-dev] Using Kon's Admin Interface with 1.6.1

I downloaded this patch 
(http://phpesp.sf.net/files/contrib/kon-new-ui.tar.gz) that Kon submitted 
to phpESP which implements a better Admin Interface.  I finally figured out 
that this patch is supposed to be applied to phpESP v 1.5 RC1.  I was 
wondering if there is a patch that can be applied to phpESP 1.6.1 or if 
there is an upgrade path from 1.5 RC 1 that includes these interface 
modifications.

I also browsed several of the CVS branches, but it doesn't look like these 
files made it in there.

Was the Admin UI left behind because of lack of resources to integrate it 
with 1.6.1, or is there a design/technical reason?
