I have been using phpESP for a while and all of the upgrades always go well. I was recently installing fresh on a new server and ran intoa problem with the docs having the wrong admin password. In section 2a of the INSTALL docs it tells you that the default password is "phpesp". I did not install from the CLI, but instead created the empty db and then used phpMyAdmin to populate the db using the mysql_populate.sql file. Without modification, the password that it passed to ESP user root is "esp". You may want to review the docs to make sure that they are in sync with the new release.
