Not possible on that hosting platform.

Locally, I'm running 4.2.1, which is the version that comes with
Debian-Unstable, but I haven't set up phpESP on my own box.

Most of the clients I'm dealing with are still running a 4.0.X
version; I have to cater to their hosting platforms.
