Initial Comment:
Hi there,

I've installed phpESP v1.4 with MySQL. Administration is working 
properly, but if I try to call a activated poll via Browser there is 
only a white page displayed. No way to complete it.
In the meantime I've created many polls, I've installed the 
script twice, I've created the database multiple times, I've 
checked all script-entries and I can't find any reason for that 
problem.

This sounds a lot like pilot error. Please ask for help on
the mailing list or on IRC. Most likely problem is a syntax
error in phpESP.ini, check php and apache logs for
errors/warnings.
