Hi Franky!

I got the same problem on my installation. Facing the DB-Problem earlier...
created users won't get written to the database so a login with another user
than root is not possible :-(
Turning off error level in phpESP.ini.php leads to no notices at the login form
but still will show errors/notices in the backend. I also tried setting the
error level in admin/include/funcs.inc but didn't succeed.

Any hints on this? Mainly the DB writing error?
