ah, that's a simple reason :-)
my Config is from 2.02-6 i think...

if we can scan it without to much overhead: scan
if not: config option

other idea (one asking to mldonkey less):
Foreach over the results for both possibilties and the one with more 
matches win...!?
or test both methods in one foreach and if one of them matches disable 
the other (my favourite at the moment)
Not perfect, but you don't need to ask mldonkey (i'm always thinking 
about my gui on my webserver in the internet, sperated from my 
mldonkey-server... slow bandwidth...)
