Not really a bug, it's just a change in the default settings of php. If you don't care about security while using this app, i.e. - if you're on a private LAN and trust the users of the app not to try to figure out ways to break things on the server, you can set "register_globals = on" in php.ini. The phone number field would only allow numeric characters, this was ok until you try to input a phone number like 999-555-1212, the result would be "999". So I changed the phone field to 'varchar(20)', this will allow non-numeric characters and also gives plenty of room for a 10-digit phone number (with international code and dashes) plus 4 digit extension with spaces.
